If you haven’t climbed the mournes then this is one for your bucket list! \nWe will ascend & descend Slieve Donard via the Glen River route\, covering 6 miles and reaching the summit height of 850 metres (2\,790 ft).  On average\, it takes around 2.5-3.5 hours to ascend and 3hrs to descend at a nice mellow pace. \nWether you take on the challenge yourself or with friends and family\, we encourage a real team atmosphere on the hill\, walking together and providing encouragement to each other every step of the way. \nEvery step you take will help us to continue to support children and young people diagnosed with heart disease\, right here in Northern Ireland. \nEvent Details \nSunday 28th September 2025 \nStart Time: 10am sharp. \nLocation: Donard Car Park\, Newcastle. \nRegistration: \nEarly bird registration £22.00 (up until 31st July) and £30 thereafter. The centre is an affiliated British Parachute Association centre and all instructors are BPA registered. \nBy choosing to jump for Children’s Heartbeat Trust\, your commitment\, drive and fundraising efforts will make a real difference to children and young people living with heart disease in Northern Ireland. \nA tandem skydive jump can be arranged for a date that suits you or why not join us at our next scheduled charity day. Please get in touch with us to confirm if one has been arranged. \nWhat does it cost?  A Registration of £99 per person (non refundable) secures your place.  We request that all participants raise a minimum of £500. This covers the full cost of the jump and sponsorship to the charity. \nYou can choose to cover the cost of the jump yourself\, so that more money raised supports the charity. If not\, it will come out of the minimum sponsorship raised.  We encourage all participants to aim for the skies with their fundraising so if you raise over and above £500 – great! \nWhere does it take place? The Tandem Skydive will take place at the Skydive Ireland in Garvagh\, just outside Coleraine.  Please note that if you wish to take part a full day will need to be kept free.
